Both the Grecale and Stelvio Quadrifoglio have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Grecale has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Grecale has standard Active Park Braking that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The Grecale offers an optional Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Grecale and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Grecale Trofeo’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 18 more horsepower (523 vs. 505) and 14 lbs.-ft. more torque (457 vs. 443) than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s 2.9 turbo V6. The Grecale Folgore’s standard electric motors produces 37 more horsepower (542 vs. 505) and 162 lbs.-ft. more torque (605 vs. 443) than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s 2.9 turbo V6.

The Grecale can travel with zero emissions for 206 to 245 miles (dependent on model). The Stelvio Quadrifoglio can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Grecale GT/Modena’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Maserati Grecale higher (4 to 10 out of 10) than the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio (3). This means the Grecale produces up to 36.3 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio every 15,000 miles.

The Grecale Trofeo’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer launch control.

The Grecale has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Grecale’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Grecale’s wheelbase is 3.3 inches longer than on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio (114.2 inches vs. 110.9 inches).

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Grecale is 2.5 inches wider in the front and 3.3 inches wider in the rear than the track on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

The design of the Maserati Grecale amounts to more than styling. The Grecale has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .326 Cd. That is lower than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio (.34) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Grecale get better fuel mileage.

The Grecale has a larger cargo volume than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio with its rear seat up (18.9 vs. 18.5 cubic feet).

The Grecale has a 5071 lbs. towing capacity. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has no towing capacity.

Standard Trailer Sway Mitigation on the Grecale uses the Electronic Stability Program sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The Grecale’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has neither an oil pressure gauge nor a temperature gauge.

The Grecale offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

If the windows are left open on the Grecale the driver can close them all from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Grecale’s standard Extended Keyless Go allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Keyless-Enter-n-Go standard on the Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

The Grecale’s LED headlights produce a white, bright light using less electricity than the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s xenon high intensity discharge (HID) headlights. HID headlights can be slow to reach full brightness or power cycle, causing issues when flashing them to signal other vehicles; LED headlights light instantly. LED lights also last about three to four times as long.

When the Grecale is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Grecale keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
