The Cayenne’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Grenadier doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Porsche Cayenne are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The INEOS Grenadier doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Both the Cayenne and Grenadier have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Cayenne has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Grenadier’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Cayenne has a standard Multi-collision Brake System, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Cayenne has standard Maneuver Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Grenadier doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cayenne helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Cayenne has a standard Surround View to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Grenadier only offers a rear monitor and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the front or sides.

The Cayenne’s blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Cayenne’s standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

For better protection of the passenger compartment, the Cayenne uses safety cell construction with a three-dimensional high-strength frame that surrounds the passenger compartment. It provides extra impact protection and a sturdy mounting location for door hardware and side impact beams. The Grenadier uses a body-on-frame design, which has no frame members above the floor of the vehicle.

Both the Cayenne and the Grenadier have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras and driver alert monitors.

There are almost 10 times as many Porsche dealers as there are INEOS dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Cayenne’s warranty.

Regenerative brakes improve the Cayenne’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Porsche Cayenne’s independent front suspension is much lighter than the INEOS Grenadier’s solid front axle, which allows the Cayenne’s wheels to react more quickly and accurately to the road’s surface, improving both ride and handling.

For superior ride and handling, the Porsche Cayenne has fully independent front and rear suspensions. An independent suspension allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for gripping the pavement, without compromising ride comfort. The INEOS Grenadier has a solid rear axle, with a non-independent rear suspension.

The Cayenne offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Grenadier doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The Cayenne offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. INEOS doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Grenadier.

The Cayenne has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Grenadier’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Cayenne has a standard automatic load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For much better steering response and tighter handling the Cayenne has rack and pinion steering, like Formula racecars, instead of the recirculating-ball type steering of the Grenadier.

The Porsche Cayenne may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 150 to 1150 pounds less than the INEOS Grenadier.

The Cayenne is 13.9 inches shorter in height than the Grenadier, making the Cayenne much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

Unibody construction lowers the Cayenne’s center of gravity significantly without reducing ground clearance. This contributes to better on the road handling and better off-road performance and stability. In addition, unibody construction makes the chassis stiffer, improving handling and reducing squeaks and rattles. The Grenadier doesn’t use unibody construction, but a body-on-frame design.

For excellent aerodynamics, the Cayenne has standard flush composite headlights. The Grenadier has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

The front grille of the Cayenne uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Grenadier doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Cayenne’s liftgate lifts up in one piece, completely out of the way of loading and unloading, while sheltering the cargo loading area. The Grenadier’s two swing out doors impair rear visibility, need a lot of clearance, and can block loading in tight quarters.

To make loading and unloading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the Cayenne’s power cargo door can be opened or closed just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a power or hands-free opening cargo door.

The Cayenne uses gas struts to support the hood for easier service access. The Grenadier uses a prop rod to support its heavy hood. It takes two hands to open the hood and set the prop rod, the prop rod gets in the way during maintenance and service, and the prop rod could be knocked out, causing the heavy hood to fall on the person maintaining or servicing the car.

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the Cayenne to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for oil changes and vehicle inspections based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. INEOS doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Grenadier.

The engine computer on the Cayenne automatically engages the starter until the car starts with one twist of the key and disables the starter while the engine is running. The Grenadier’s starter can be accidentally engaged while the engine is running, making a grinding noise and possibly damaging the starter and ring gear.

When three different drivers share the Cayenne, the memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat (memory seat optional for the front passenger), steering wheel position, outside mirror angle and climate settings. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Cayenne’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Grenadier doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Cayenne’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Grenadier does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Cayenne offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, warning, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Cayenne’s power parking brake sets with one touch and releases with one touch. The Grenadier has a lever-type parking brake that has to be strenuously raised to engage properly. It has to be lifted up more and a button depressed to release it.

The Cayenne’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children in the rear seat from operating them, but the driver can still raise and lower all of them with the lock engaged. INEOS does not offer a locking feature on the Grenadier’s standard power windows.

The Cayenne’s front and rear power windows all open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Grenadier’s power windows’ switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.

Comfort Access standard on the Cayenne allows you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. The INEOS Grenadier doesn’t offer an advanced key system.

The Cayenne’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Grenadier’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Cayenne offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Grenadier doesn’t offer headlight washers.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors available for the Cayenne detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Grenadier doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Cayenne offers optional cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Grenadier doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Cayenne also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

To better shield the driver and front passenger’s vision, the Cayenne has standard dual-element sun visors that can block glare from two directions simultaneously. The Grenadier doesn’t offer secondary sun visors.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Cayenne to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Grenadier doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

When the Cayenne is put in reverse, the passenger rearview mirror tilts from its original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirror into its original position. The Grenadier’s mirror doesn’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Cayenne’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Grenadier doesn’t offer the luxury of automatic dimming mirrors.

Both the Porsche Cayenne and INEOS Grenadier offer exterior mirrors that can be folded to provide convenience. The Cayenne features standard power folding mirrors, which allow for easy, one-touch folding or unfolding at the driver’s discretion. This provides added convenience when maneuvering or parking, as well as when walking past the parked vehicle. In comparison, the Grenadier’s foldable mirrors are manual, requiring the driver to get out and physically fold them once parked and unfold them before getting in.

The Cayenne has standard heated front seats. Heated front seats cost extra on the Grenadier. The Cayenne also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the Grenadier.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Cayenne’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Grenadier doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

On extremely cold winter days, the Cayenne’s standard heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the vehicle heater warms up. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

The Cayenne has a standard center folding armrest for the rear passengers. A center armrest helps make rear passengers more comfortable and it can provide a boundary between children. The Grenadier doesn’t offer a rear seat center armrest.

The Cayenne offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Grenadier.

The Cayenne’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Grenadier doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Cayenne offers an optional Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Grenadier doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

Compared to the INEOS Grenadier, the Porsche Cayenne eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries with its standard integrated Homelink® universal remote controlled from the rear view mirror.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Porsche Cayenne has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The Grenadier doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Cayenne’s Active Parking Assistance can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Optional Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Grenadier doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
