The Cayenne’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The F-Pace doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Porsche Cayenne are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Jaguar F-Pace doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Porsche Cayenne has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The F-Pace doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Cayenne has a standard Multi-collision Brake System, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Cayenne has standard Maneuver Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The F-Pace doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cayenne helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Cayenne and the F-Pace have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Cayenne’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the F-Pace’s (12 vs. 6 years).

There are over 35 percent more Porsche dealers than there are Jaguar dealers, which makes it easier should you ever need service under the Cayenne’s warranty.

A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the Cayenne’s reliability 37 points higher than the F-Pace.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Cayenne second among upper midsize premium suvs in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The F-Pace isn’t in the top three in its category.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Porsche vehicles are better in initial quality than Jaguar vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Porsche above average in initial quality. With 16 more problems per 100 vehicles, Jaguar is rated lower.

The Cayenne’s standard fuel tank has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the F-Pace (23.7 vs. 21.9 gallons).

The Cayenne has a standard locking fuel door and a locking charge port which lock and unlock with the power locks. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a locking fuel filler door. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank and a locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

The Cayenne’s optional launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The F-Pace doesn’t offer launch control.

For better stopping power the Cayenne’s brake rotors are larger than those on the F-Pace:

The Cayenne offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The F-Pace doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Cayenne Turbo has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The F-Pace doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better traction, the Cayenne’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the F-Pace (F:285/45R21 & R:315/40R21 vs. F:265/45R21 & R:295/40R21).

The Cayenne’s standard 295/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the F-Pace’s standard 55 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Cayenne has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the F-Pace.

The Cayenne offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The F-Pace doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The Cayenne offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Jaguar doesn’t offer an active suspension on the F-Pace.

The Cayenne has a standard automatic load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Cayenne handles at 1.02 G’s, while the F-Pace pulls only .85 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Cayenne S executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 3.2 seconds quicker than the F-Pace (23.6 seconds @ .83 average G’s vs. 26.8 seconds @ .67 average G’s).

For greater off-road capability the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid has a greater minimum ground clearance than the F-Pace SVR (9.5 vs. 8.6 inches), allowing the Cayenne to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The front grille of the Cayenne uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The F-Pace doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Cayenne has .8 inches more front legroom, 1.4 inches more front shoulder room, .5 inches more rear headroom, 3.1 inches more rear legroom and .7 inches more rear shoulder room than the F-Pace.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Cayenne’s rear seats recline. The F-Pace’s rear seats don’t recline.

The front step up height for the Cayenne is 2.4 inches lower than the F-Pace (16.75” vs. 19.2”). The Cayenne’s rear step up height is 3.8 inches lower than the F-Pace’s (16” vs. 19.8”).

The Cayenne’s cargo area is larger than the F-Pace’s in almost every dimension:

To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the Cayenne’s liftgate can be opened and closed just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its liftgate, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.

The Cayenne’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the F-Pace’s (7716 vs. 5291 pounds).

The Cayenne has a higher maximum payload capacity than the F-Pace (1601 vs. 1510 lbs.).

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Porsche service is better than Jaguar. J.D. Power ranks Porsche second in service department satisfaction. With a 25% lower rating, Jaguar is ranked 10th.

The Cayenne’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The F-Pace does not have an oil pressure gauge.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Cayenne to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. Heated windshield washer nozzles cost extra on the F-Pace.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Cayenne offers optional cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The F-Pace doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Cayenne also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

To better shield the driver and front passenger’s vision, the Cayenne has standard dual-element sun visors that can block glare from two directions simultaneously. The F-Pace doesn’t offer secondary sun visors.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Cayenne to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The F-Pace doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Cayenne’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The F-Pace doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Cayenne offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the F-Pace.

The Cayenne’s Active Parking Assistance can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Optional Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The F-Pace’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.
