A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cayenne Coupe helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer a night vision system.

J.D. Power ranks Porsche above average in long-term dependability. With 15 more problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, Genesis is rated below average.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2024 Auto Issue reports that Porsche vehicles are more reliable than Genesis vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Porsche 10 places higher in reliability than Genesis.

The Cayenne Coupe has more powerful engines than the GV80 Coupe:

On the EPA test cycle the Cayenne Coupe 3.0 turbo V6 running its gasoline engine gets better fuel mileage than the GV80 3.5T Coupe 3.5 turbo V6 (17 city/23 hwy vs. 16 city/22 hwy).

Regenerative brakes improve the Cayenne Coupe’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Cayenne Coupe’s standard fuel tank has 2.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the GV80 Coupe (23.7 vs. 21.1 gallons).

The Cayenne Coupe’s optional launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer launch control.
