The Macan Electric has standard Porsche Connect, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Gravity doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Macan Electric and the Gravity have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The Macan Electric’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the Gravity’s (12 vs. 10 years).

For greater off-road capability the Macan Turbo Electric has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Gravity (8.8 vs. 8.7 inches), allowing the Macan Electric to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Macan Electric’s minimum ground clearance is .2 inch higher than on the Gravity (8.9 vs. 8.7 inches).

The Porsche Macan Electric may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 100 to 500 pounds less than the Lucid Motors Gravity.

The Macan Electric is 9.9 inches shorter than the Gravity, making the Macan Electric easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the Macan Electric uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Gravity doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Macan Electric uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Gravity doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Gravity, the Macan Electric offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Macan Electric to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Gravity doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Macan Electric offers an optional rear wiper. The Gravity doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

The Macan Electric’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The Gravity’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.

When the Macan Electric with available tilt-down mirrors is put in reverse, the passenger rearview mirror tilts from its original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirror into its original position. The Gravity’s mirror doesn’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Macan Electric’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Gravity has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

The Macan Electric has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Gravity.

The Macan Electric is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Gravity doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
